Tahnee attended her first yoga class at the age of 12. Although it would be many years before she dedicated herself to her practice, she always felt a connection to the yoga mindset. Tahnee was re-introduced to yoga in 2012 when she attended, what was to her surprise, a level 2-3 power vinyasa class that lasted for 1 hour and 45 minutes! As she flailed, fumbled, and fell throughout the class she immediately fell in love. The way the continuous movement of vinyasa flow quieted her thoughts while the long holds of power yoga focused her mind, gave her a sense of balance and stability as the class approached the final pose savasana.
Tahnee continued to practice yoga while studying anatomy and physiology in college and working in an outpatient physical therapy setting instructing group exercise. In 2014, she completed a 100-hour yoga teacher training kinesiology course that confirmed her love for proper body mechanics and alignment, as well as her desire to become a certified yoga instructor. In 2017, Tahnee completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training certification. As a dedicated student of anatomy with a history of instructing exercise for over 6 years, Tahnee is constantly amazed at the way the human body can learn to adapt and heal through physical exercise.
Her classes are a place for all yogis to learn, grow, and deepen their practice, providing cues for alignment and pose modifications with options to increase the intensity at any time.
